I don't get it?

I wrote may the fourth be with you as something lame as its the 4th today,some kid saying its not may and its late to attempt the one liner,the jokes not funny full stop,yet hes really tried hard to read into it and state that not even thinking ot wouldnt of been funny if it was may,hes hung himself really.

You made a dumb joke, someone made an arguably dumb response to it, now you're mad that people responded in a dumb way to a dumb joke.

He wasn't saying that you're anxious. He was saying that this joke does technically fall into a category of what humans can find funny. A subversion of expectations. People expected this to be someone mistaking the 4th of July for the 4th of May, but they got someone who knew it wasn't the 4th of May, and to some people that is funny because it feels like an inside joke.

Your problem was that your delivery was terrible. You should have said something along the lines of, "oh wait it's the wrong holiday" or "oh wait I'm 2 months late" which still aren't funny delivery lines, but they're better than "ok yeah it's lame... ha."

The really big problem is that this joke could never be funny and you're reaping the consequences of it now while trying extremely hard to save face, and that is the only funny thing to come out of this topic.

Confrontation is fun and people like to argue on this site.
Being subversive is the new normal on the internet, better get used to it.
