I bet the cheapest computer you can find at Best Buy will do what you need it for. I got a Toshiba laptop from there a few years ago for $158 and it ran Elements 3D in After Effects. If you are just looking to record and edit gameplay that same cheap laptop will do that no problem.

thanks for the advice man, I was thinking that a cheap computer should be able to get the job done. Although, for looks id rather have a computer LOL. Do you think a relatively cheaper computer for around like 300 would do the damage? What are the main specs I should look for

$300 will be enough for 4 gigs of Ram which I think is just too low. My computer has 16 gigs of Ram and everything seems to run smooth on it. There is some towers at Best Buy that have 8 gigs of Ram for $400, but that the tower only. I just think if you get anything with 4 gigs of Ram that will not be happy with it so just save up or look around at other stores.

So essentially what you are saying is I can get a laptop for 400 dollars that is much more efficient than a computer for 400 dollars.

If you're not wanting portability then i would get a PC. If I were you I'd go for a PC with specs similar to this (intel i3/i5/i7, 8gb RAM+ and 1tbHDD). I doubt you'll get better than an i5 for your money but you might get lucky (i'm from UK so prices are a little different). i wouldn't recommend a laptop at your price point. You can get a PC that's quite low spec and upgrade it over time. For example, if you get a PC with an i3, 8gbRAM and a 1tb HDD then you'll have a good starting point. In the future you can swap out the i3 for a higher specced i5/i7 and you can upgrade the RAM for something more powerful as well.
