I'd have to argue that the cost in energy is not worth it.

If your a college student living on dorm it's another story since you wouldn't have to pay for electricity. 100% profit.

I watched this video, if you get a chance id suggest giving it a watch.

Bit mining costs a ton of energy and IMO not worth the hastle, worries and doubt's.

I still don't think it would be worth it. OP would only really benefit from an ASIC rig for Bitcoin at this point which can run upwards of several thousand dollars and it would still take him months to make the money back; assuming the market for bitcoin doesn't crash (which it will naturally.) Sure he could use his CPU and GPU for mining, but it would be gaining so little that by the time he even got close to his money back, I would even question if putting the strain on your hardware was worth it. If he wanted to use his CPU/GPU or both, he would be better off with Ethereum mining; starting with a software such as Ethermine or qtminer and going for an Ethereum pool such as Alpereum or nanopool.
