Spray paint it pink and put eye lashes on the headlights?

What's your budget and what's your technical skills for removing and replacing parts?

It's not a bad car, seen a lot worse on here. But you might as well just keep it stock and save the money for an upgrade.

Nice attitude, everyone gets a first car, no need to slate him for it. Just because not everyone can afford a nice car doesn't give you the right to say shit like that.

As for the car, always like the Hyundai Coupes, mods wise black alloys are a good start imo, maybe tint the windows, exhaust system/back box, also interior styling is always a good place to go, makes the car feel more personal. Just look around your car and think how could I make this look better. As for engine/performance mods not sure whats out there for it, unless it has a turbo then probs just stay away from any attempt of more power, cost wayy too much to even get more BHP from a NA engine. Only way to go would be like heads or cams which is v expensive. Nice car though good luck, keep us updated!

Start by getting alloys for it, lower it, get some angel halo headlights, tint the windows, get a proper full exhaust system (or straight pipe it ), tint the brake lights and side repeaters, start the interior for example get leather heated seats and maybe an aftermarket radio or a nice big touch screen one lol.

So it's better to tell him to blow his savings into something that'll shit itself in 2 years tops? That's just **** stupid. As he said it was a present so that changes the situation. Just leave it stock. PS I also started with a 1999 Buick before I got my car that IIIIII paid for so my parents didn't buy it.
