I just bought a computer off of Craigslist and it's running games fairly slow. CS:GO maxed out at 118 FPS, when it should get near 300 easily (not that I need that). Everything came with receipts and boxes, and was put together less than 6 months ago. Drivers are up-to-date and so is the OS. I've tried optimizing the games themselves but nothing seems to make it better. Ideas?

Open task manager > performance > resource monitor > Memory Tab and click Working set, whichever is at top is the one hogging the performance

Make sure your PC is clean of dust, dog hairs or whatever ect. This can effect a components performance if there is a build up.
