Depends on what it is, if you post once other sites looking for members etc, one post is spam.

I personally see any unwanted or unnecessary pose as spam, but I'm not sure if that's how others would see it.

To me, spam posts are the short, broad responses which add nothing to the discussion.

In the News Forum, you'll find a story posted and there always tends to be a reply along the lines of 'Oh wow, that's crazy'. To me, that is spam and i wish those posts would be deleted. Offers nothing, says nothing but 'I need that extra post count'.
