Some people think that the Report system for the Xbox One is fair and it makes matchmaking a lot better.
If you're not familiar with the report system, if i had to compare it to something, it would be bad sport/cheaters for GTA, There's two tiers
Needs Work and Avoid me.
The way you get into these are by reporting someone who is either being rude (sending vulgar messages) Or in a friends case, playing things that they like.
And being in said division of the report, if you play any game, you will only get paired up with people in the needs work/avoid me, it makes queue times longer, And voice chat is disabled for most games.
So in a friends case, he was playing Overwatch competitive with one character people deem "Bad" and its his favorite character, he got reported so many times for playing his favorite player, that his account got a weeks ban and a bad sports tag.
Do you think its fair that he has to play with people in the avoid me and receive a ban just because he played the game the way he wanted to? or do you think its fine?
I just want your thoughts and opinions on this subject.

Isn't fair... but sadly, I've learned that rules are rules. You either comply, or you don't which then the next step is a ban. Life's short, might as well just live by the rules.

Thing is, he didn't do anything but only play the game, and people reported him for playing the way he wants, and got banned for it.
That's like me knifing only on cod and getting reset.

If he really did nothing wrong, he could try to appeal the ban and try to get it reversed. There's a very slim chance that he will actually get the ban lifted since bans are rarely ever reversed, but it's worth a shot.

report system has been broke since launch. you can get anyone to avoid me rep just by mass reporting them. no need for a reason either.
