Hey everyone, just out to see what TTG has to offer for jeep enthusiasts:) post all jeep related stuff on this forum. I'll start it off..

I myself am still on my first vehicle and that being a 2007 Jeep Wrangler unlimited X. Somewhat heavily modified cosmetics wise, soon to upgrade some more major parts of the vehicle but just want to see everyone else express their passion through their vehicles I will update this tomorrow with pictures of my vehicle and more details. Looking forward to seeing everyone's vehicles!

Personally, I don't get the whole jeep craze that started back around 2015. I think they're quite clunky looking lol just my opinion

Trust me, it didn't start in 2015 lol.

The reason Jeep Wranglers are so popular is because they have a very simple suspension set up (I.E easy to lift), they still run a solid axle, and they are a very short wheel base which makes it the perfect set up for the rock crawling and trail riding community. Back in the 70's, your big competitors were the Jeep Wrangler, the Ford Bronco, the International Scout, Dodge Ramcharger, and the Chevy Blazer. Up until the 90's these were the talk of the town. Ford got rid of the Bronco in 1996, International got rid of the Scout in 1980, Dodge got rid of the Ramcharger in 1993, and Chevy got rid of the Blazer in 2005.

With the competition gone in the 90's, that left Jeep as the "off road champ" if you will because no one else makes an off road capable short wheelbase vehicle like that. One could argue that a super cab Raptor might compete but they are too wide for trailing.

in New Jersey all the people who own jeeps here are culture vultures lol they all think they're "pro offroaders" and walk around wearing cowboy hats when NYC is less than 10 mins away lmao

For the most part it's just what you like. Both my last trucks were built for off roading yet I never took either of them off roading.

My current truck is set up for towing and hauling (1 1/2 ton rear suspension and 1 3/4 ton front suspension on a 3/4 ton truck) yet I don't tow or haul anything.

I have only ever heard bad things about the new jeeps. Just lemons with electrical problems. I think most people agree the older wranglers are still good though. They look better anyway. Not that I would ever buy one. I would rather buy a toyota or some sort.
