That's the check engine light. If you go to an Autozone or O'reillys they usually have an OBD II scanner that will tell you what the problem is and they let you use it for free.

Nice TL there, bro. As the others have said, that's the check engine light. In my TL, I've experienced that light for various reasons; one of them was for a cat converter that's begun to to haywire but it really doesn't affect me driving the car.
Just take it to AutoZone or Advanced Auto Parts to get it scanned; or if you've got a Honda/Acura mechanic, take it to him.

Could be one of many faults, from faulty sensors not getting a reading to misfires.
People also say from the internet that a loose fuel cap can cause it to come on, so if you're not mechanically inclined, at least you can check that. The most common reasons I've found for that light to come on are. O2 sensors.
Note: it should always turn off once the engine is running if there is no fault.

In short it means there's a problem under the hood. When it happened to me a lot of the time it was my engine overheating due to a coolant leak in my old Buick

Yeah the check engine light comes on when your oil life is over. "probably just needs a service". A check engine light can be something as minor as the gas cap isn't on so it senses an evap leak (with newer cars and the way gas tanks are set up this usually doesn't happen anymore), to something as serious as you just melted your piston and your engine is seized. A check engine light will not come on because it's time for an oil change or a tune up, a check engine light comes on because the computers in the engine found an error in its normal operating system.
