Kixa wrote I actually started watching it when Season 7 was coming out. I'm currently on Season 2. I'm pretty hooked on it right now I can't believe I overlooked it these past years.

Me and wife are currently on Season 3 Episode 3.
Its boring in some episodes but I enjoy it.

Like one guy said, its like watching porn in some scenes. lol not child appropriate for sure.

That's kind of what put me off watching it! I'd heard so much about how many sex scenes there are and I kind of felt like it was a sell out at first? Like don't get me wrong I like sex but I don't want to watch a TV programme full of it

Except its not filled with sex.

Sure it has more than your average TV show but its not every scene.
It goes whole episodes without having any sex scenes most of the time.

Game of Thrones became notorious for being a show you don't watch around kids or with your parents.
The main reason for that was the violence which permeated every episode, the sex was tacked on with it to make the point a bit more solid.
In every episode with a sex scene there will be something violent enough to make you completely forget about the boobs you just saw.

The story is genuinely incredible, its not hard to follow, and this show rivals most movies in terms of quality.
I'd miss out on a years worth of blockbuster films to watch another season of Game of Thrones because I know I'm probably getting better quality stories, directing, and writing.

If you're not hooked after the first season then it probably isn't for you, fantasy isn't for everyone.
But outside of Lord of the Rings you will not find a better fantasy story being told in the film medium.

Yin wrote I haven't watched either of those, or Breaking Bad, or Sons of Anarchy, or Dexter, or True Detective, or The Walking Dead.

Judging by some of the posts you've made on this site I think True Detective season 1 would be right up your alley.

Yea, I have been thinking about watching it, but it is just a matter of not having the service that carries it, unless it is on Netflix and I missed it. I also have a pretty low internet data cap that I have to watch for, so I have to plan what I watch, when I watch, carefully. It is all a pain. That Cohle guy seems like my dude, at least up to a certain point.

I would have to choose Game of Thrones, only because I've been watching it since the very beginning.
Don't get me wrong, Stranger Things is by far one of the best shows I've watched today, so both would be in my Top 5.

I'm like in the 1% of the people who haven't watched it. I don't plan on watching it anytime soon anyways.
