Americans support him because they think Trump will do the "right thing"
There's so many reasons why people support him.

People like him because he was promising a change, but we soon figured out, it was all false advertising.

This is going to cause problems when you throw politics into this. Because there's going to be people that are going be like " he can't do sh*t" but yet they won't step into his shoes. Remember, this man was living a happy billionaire lifestyle to later become a target. Give him some props. Not the greatest guy? That's you're opinion. But he sure as hell wants to make America great again.

Because he actually goes through with his word, makes smart financial and business decisions, keeps immigrants out of the country, and has no relation to the Clinton family.

I didn't post on the original topic because I was like "I don't want to get into this shit right now." Anyways, people still like him and support him the way they do, because to them, he is what they felt America needed. There could be no wrong in some people's eyes with what he does. Like he said at a debate (don't remember word for word) that he could shoot someone outside and not lose voters. That's kind of true as he could shoot some random person, even a kid and I'm willing to put all my money that there would be a good amount of people who would support it and then try to defend it. A lot of people in this world will stick by one person that there is no wrong they can do, be that a parent to their child, a person with their life partner or a person who sees another person holding power as their last shred of hope.
I "liked" Trump simply because he wasn't politically correct and egotistical. I know running for president is probably as professional as it can get but I've always still had a liking to people who are blunt with what they say, even if to others it looks like you're just being an ass. That just comes from me growing up in Russia. We're blunt with what we say, but we mean it. An example: "did you gain weight?" out in America is seen like an insult, but in Russia it's genuine question. "Did you like my drawing?" Most people would say it's alright to avoid hurting your feelings but in Russia, we'll tell you what we liked or didn't like, even if it makes you upset because you asked a question regarding it. Going back to Trump, he was blunt with what he said and that's pretty much the only thing that I liked. That and I guess he wanted better relations with Russia but I already knew that wasn't going to happen. Other than that, I didn't vote at all and I didn't tell anyone to vote for(as far as I remember.) I personally thought Hillary would have stirred shit with Russia worse than it already is and I have mentioned that a few times, but if someone changed their opinion on who to vote for based off of an opinion I had of a person, then that's their own fault. I belong to neither Democrat, Republican or any other of those parties.
Back to earlier what I said about Trump "being what America needs" to some people. I don't remember who it was on here (probably Chole, might be butchering the example completely though lol,) but I have seen it on other forums too that Trump won because of an apparent oppression to the right-wing. That was the the need for those people, to have Trump in office so the right-wing can get back the power they felt they lost. Whether or not that is a logical reason for liking Trump is up for debate but that's enough reason for people to see it as a "need/must have." Some people also did it for the memes, because 4Chan and I'm sure other sites were wanting Trump to win, simply off of "let's get him to win from memes." I won't lie that I did jump on the Trump meme bandwagon and shitposted it in Discord and Skype, but that's jokes with friend where we're always posting random shit.
In the end, it doesn't affect me. It really doesn't. The only thing that would affect me if Trump declares all Russian nationals are to be deported or if Trump pisses North Korea and seeming to be China to a nuclear point. Other than that, anything he does, has no impact on me. People on the left and the right on the other hand are their own story, if they start to assume and it spirals out of control; then again, I stay home most of the time drinking my problems away, so they're not a problem really either.
