Range Rovers have TERRIBLE reputations for constantly having to be worked on. With that I would say go with the Fiesta, however I would upgrade to the Focus. Little more money but it's well worth it. Also why are you comparing a luxury SUV to a cheap car?

From your point of view, anything that doesn't have a Ford 7.3L that does 3MPG will be unreliable when you've never owned anything other than a Ford. The only Land Rover that sucks is the Freelander and that's because it's cheaply made, all other models do mega miles and use engines from some of the best manufacturers.

Oh boy, here we go...

"From your point of view, anything that doesn't have a Ford 7.3L that does 3MPG will be unreliable"
Then why is my 6.0 that gets 16+MPG reliable? Why did I buy that? Oh, and on topic of the 7.3, the engine might be good buy the 4R100 trans they paired with it is a pretty bad one for the amount of power the 7.3 has.

"you've never owned anything other than a Ford"
Uhm, let's not forget about the Dodge?

I guess you know more about me than I do though so what ever. No, Land Rovers have terrible reputations, you don't have to own one to know that. Hell even Google is on point.

But hey, let's consult actual owners. These are all quotes from BBB of owners.

With our 4th Range Rover, a 2017 Range Rover Sport, the front spoiler literally blew off the front of our car on a trip. The car having less than 4,000 miles

Range Rover roadside assistance is the worst ever experience I ever had in my life. They were not able to send me tow truck. For four days supervisor don't even pick up the phone or return my calls. I've been driving Range Rover last five years.

Worst car EVER!!! Buyer be warned. My car has less than 20k miles on it and I've had more recalls on it than I can count. It's been in the shop constantly. Transmission has blown so many times - once in the middle of a 4 lane highway going 60 mph. Thank God there was a barrier next to me. Electrical issues. You name it. I had an extremely rude employee that I sent a complaint about to the company. They didn't even have the decency to respond to my complaint. For a car I spent over $50k I expect decent customer service.

All in all, if you do any research on the brand Range Rover is known to have a lot of issues, mostly stemming from electrical issues. Trust me, I almost bought one when I bought my Fusion. I looked into luxury SUV's for probably about a week and spent a lot of time looking at the pros and cons of Range Rover (mainly the Evoque) but decided it was too much trouble for me to get. If you don't believe me, by all means be your own person and buy one without doing any research, but please when you're telling people what vehicle to get do a little research or have past experience with the vehicle.
