How to Get Noticed/ Known in the Photoshop Board. Im my ViewPosted:

Alright i see a lot of "Newbs" Coming here and expecting to be the best here.

Well guess what it dont work like that.

You may be a very good artist,
But to be a known artist on TTG you should follow some of these "guidelines",
Of course they are not the same for everyone, But this is just nice to keep in mind.

Alright well for me it was basically pretty simple,
But took a bit of hard work.
I had to make a bunch of free graphics,
Along with a bunch of other things.

But ill make a step list, for you to see basically what i did.

1. Get some people familiar with your work.
How? Well make a topic Showing off your work, Entitle it something similar to (Rate my recent/old Work)
If you get a lot of good feed back then onto the next step, if not then keep practicing before going to the next step.

2. Start a Graphics Shop.
This might be hard if your on a limited schedule. But just open it take a few requests and work on them in your free time. (Close the shop when your working so requests dont build up). If your good people will eventually give you rep and thank your topic. You also may get a few generous people that may donate a few dollars.

3. Get Some Good Vouchers.
For me this was one thing that was very important to me, (Not because it was deciding if i was good or not) Its just i wanted to get a lot of people to like my art. -I spend a lot of time making this stuff might as well have others like it to right.
How did i get good vouchers? Well basically i would just wait until someone posted on my shop, Or if I seen a high ranking member requesting stuff i would just do my best to make what they wanted! And the over all result was i made a bunch of friendships with a lot of cool people on TTG, Which brings me to the next thing.

4. Make Friends!
Well this is obvious, But take it serious If you ever see someone that is well know on TTG requesting something, Try your best and make what they want. And if they like it, Then maybe they will come to you next time they need something, And there you just started a friend ship. One good friend i made from Graphics is 2Ez, I helped him out by making him some graphics, And now we are really good friends, and he helps me out a bunch, Hes a very cool guy.

5. Be a Nice, and Helpful Person.
Your not gonna be very liked if your hating on others, and hating on their graphics, So what i would recommend is Give out pointers instead of just hate on others work, Also, if someone is looking for some help on Photoshop and you know how to do what they are asking then take some time out and help out. (You'll make a lot of friends that way)

6. Compete in Competitions.
This is another good way to get people to see your hard work, And if you win Thats even better! Some times Staff will hold competitions them are good to compete in cause a lot more people will be checking them out. So if you ever see a competition that interests you try your best and compete!

7. Represent Yourself Properly!
This is very important, When making posts dont just make a quick post just to get your post count up. This annoys alot of people and this is not just for the Photoshop Board this is for the whole for of TTG, When your making a post make sure to use proper grammer, Capital letters where they belong, Commas, Periods, All that (This makes you look more mature.) And it will make a lot of people recognize you. For your quality posts.

After you do these things your gonna be pretty well know, Like most of the people on the Photoshop Board. Just keep up the good work.

I Agree With Most Of This But You Dont Need To Use Good Grammer This Isnt English Class However You Need To Be Able To Understand What They Are Talking About

To me, this is an example of a pefect post. Lots of useful info, and tips. Another reason why I think it is so good is because you yourself are an example. I think I can remember when you first started, and where you are now. And to me your one of the best GFXers on the site!
