Yes the chip will light up when power is applied but is it actually glitching (green LED flashing cycles)

I believe he said that already that its lighting up meaning glitching , but you are correct it does power on red when just plugged in but i think he meant it is glitching

also i offered to fix for him for the shipping cost only

May sound silly but have you checked the hdmi and tried a different one?

Don't know how many times I've ****ed up from something like that after having 2-3 people help me with it.

yeah i see the light red light and flashing green light. the power button is solid.

I would power it off pull the hard drive. Check all your connections to the TV and make sure Tv is set to the proper setting on the tv hdmi or av cables

Leave powered off for one minute and try it again let me know what happens

No hard drive no USB drives installed.
