If I use a VPN for say, downloading movies, will my new IP address cause issues for the REAL user of that IP address?

using a vpn you wont be tracked back to your main ip but when bouncing your ip what ever server you connect to will apear as your ip
example: your from us and you connect to a vpn in russia (you are now from russia)

It shouldn't be someone else's ip. Sometimes users of s vpn share an ip but it's not an ip of
A person most of the time it's of a sever

Okay, thanks.
Would I therefore be causing any problems/hassle/trouble for the IP user/server that I am piggy-backing off?

No, VPN's IP's won't be affected by your internet actions...

Vpns are easily tracked back to your home ip if they keep logs

No far as I'm aware it's a server not a proper IP
