Well you see, the grand conspiracy is he actually didn't shoot the sheriff either; the deputy shot the sheriff and this man is taking the blame for shooting him so the deputy could become the sheriff which worked because THE DEPUTY IS THE NEW SHERIFF BUT IT'S A PLOT TWIST BECAUSE SOMEONE IS ALWAYS SHOOTING THE SHERIFF.
