Hi, everybody. Still have no electricity or water where I live so I haven't been able to come on to TTG. Anywho, Hurricane Irma has gone over Puerto Rico and is now headed towards Cuba, the Dominican Republic and eventually Florida.
Florida has already called for a state of emergency and the first hurricane warnings were issued today for South Florida and Miami. It is still a Category 5 hurricane with winds of up to 185 MPH, Irma currently holds the record for most consecutive hours in which the wind speed has been at 185 MPH (this isn't a good thing, either). It has also been mentioned that South Carolina and Georgia are under hurricane watch as well, seeing as how Irma will continue its destructive path through Florida and those two other states; once it touches land, it's sure to weaken but I'm sure it won't weaken enough to the point where no damage is dealt, seeing as how a Category 5 hurricane is the strongest of its kind.
Irma did have significant damage on one of Puerto Rico's outer islands, Culebra and to Fajardo on the far top right corner of the island since that seemed to be the closest areas to the hurricane itself; luckily, the southern wall of Irma's eye missed Culebra and Puerto Rico in general at the last moment as it took a shift to the north.
Please, if anybody is in the Florida area and are being asked to evacuate, do so. This hurricane is no joke and trust nobody who tells you that you should stay in Florida since "Florida's been through this". I've got my aunts and cousins over there and everybody over here is worried sick about them. Please, take care of yourselves and avoid any damages done to YOU; material objects can be replaced, your life and the lives of others cannot. Irma is estimated to hit Florida by Sunday; you've got a few days left to prepare yourself if you have nowhere to evacuate to and a few days left to evacuate to a nearby state and find refuge there.

Hurricane Irma ran through the Dominican Republic and Cuba, causing extreme damage in Cuba. Irma is now on top of Florida, causing extreme flooding and gusts of wind up to 117 MPH (they cause a human to stumble back, if you're fighting against the wind).
Hopefully, anybody in the Florida area on TTG have already evacuated or sheltered themselves in a safe refuge and we'll be reading them on TTG again soon.
In the Bahamas, Irma's extremely high pressure sucked the water out of one of their beaches. LITERALLY sucked the water off of the beach and left the beach completely dry, more like a desert in a post-apocalyptic world.
This is an image of the dried-up beach in the Bahamas:
Irma has done the same in Florida and has caused the ocean to retract, due to the pressure of he hurricane sucking the water into its destructive winds.
