I would like a new build for around 1k GBP

What i would like to keep -
- My MOBO
- MY ram of course but i would like 16gb
- My case
- My PSU

I would like to get a new ssd and hdd just becuase i cba to transfer the files onto a new one i would prefer to start from fresh.

So everything else i would like upgraded, i know most of you will tell me to upgrade to ryzen but i really woud not like to, sorry. :/

No point in keeping the motherboard (locked anyways), we don't know the RAM exactly, speeds and all. What PSU? We don't know your uses, your boot speed is because your SSD is cluttered likely, clean it up a bit try again.

Honestly at this point, it is Ryzen > Intel; at least until coffee lake fully drops. Intel will always be ahead in gaming, but virtually anything multi-threaded, or workloads in general I would go with Ryzen.

No point in spending over £1000 for just storage and a CPU/GPU, when from the way you explained it just needed a new HDD/SSD and to clear some space from your others. The 1050ti is good in most cases at ~1080p, with modest settings. IF you do choose to actually switch to the AMD side here is this.

CPU: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] (£183.54 @ Aria PC)

Total: £841.21

Your current CPU will be better with gaming, and single to ~quad core workloads, anything multicore or above/more demanding Ryzen will be at a increase with. With background multitasking not being an issue whatsoever, and being able to have the options to be doing CAD, or any rendering in general (if you are into that) alongside gaming, well is a fairly smooth experience.

The 1070 is overkill for 1080p, unless you are upscaling games, then it isn't as bad. You could get a 1060, or a used 980 for around £200-230, and or RX 480/580's for around £250+ if you are lucky.

More storage, grab the WD SSD while it is cheap, or opt for the 850 evo, £20+ more, but better overall. The stock AMD cooler will suffice for overclocking to around 3.8-4.0, around then is when i would go aftermarket by default. You can either, go with the dark rock, honestly it is the better choice, and will allow a stable 4.0, but there are cheaper options for relatively the same performance.

HDD space to move all the other stuff too if you decided you wanted to.

Intel side, pretty much the same as the AMD side, expect keeping with your current motherboard, and going up to essentially the only real path with a locked chip. You could probably find a used one for a little less on ebay, or reddit.

As for both sides, just grab yourself another set of your current ram, or something similar in speed, to not have to worry about one clocking down to the others speed.
