Cat5 cable can handle up to 10/100 Mbps
Cat6 cables can handle up to 10 Gigabits of data and that is limited to 164 feet.
Both of these will do you just fine in a residential house set up.

Go with the cat6, it's not too much more than cat5. I wouldn't worry about cat 7 right now.

Like it was said above It wont benefit you in a residential setup to go above Cat5e...

Make sure you get Cat5e. Normal Cat5 is limited to just 10mbps and 100mpbs throughput, where as Cta5e was enhanced to support Gigabit (1000mpbs).

Anything above Cat5e won't help much unless you have some super duper 10gbps LAN going on.

C5E is industry standard (for home users mainly) and is sold everywhere for the cheapest. Everyone here is talking about LAN and download speed, we don't know the use, he could just be going from system to system, or from router to system.

C6 throttles below 10 gigabit. C6A handles it. Don't worry about C7 it is irrelevant for most people unless you're running SFP+ to RJ45 switches (even then I am still using standard C6A on my home setup, there is no need to pay for a slight performance/distance increase with cables). Which i highly doubt you would be or you wouldn't need to ask this.

Any standard off the shelf cheapo cable you can find will suffice for most connections.

Just to be a little more picky on the subject.

COAX is somewhere around 2500 meters give or take a few regarding the quality.

C5 is limited to about 100 meters, or 328 feet give or take.
C5E is limited to about 100 meters, or 328 feet.

C6 is limited to 50 meters, or 164 feet.
C6E same thing higher frequency.
C6A higher frequency, 100 meters, or 328 feet.
