Currently amidst building my setup, pretty much bought all i need except speakers.
I'm looking for good speakers, 2+ with possibly a subwoofer for low end.
I listen to really bassy music so it's kind of a necessity for me lmao.

I found these but the reviews were awful:

id recommend alesis elevate 5's studio speakers there quite cheap but there amazing for the price and id save for a decent sub around 8-12 or 14" for best sub frequencies otherwise its kinda pointless to have a sub with such a small cone because it wont be able to develop the right sub frequencies tbh but these speakers have plenty of bass for the size but thats just my opinion

but id recommend getting speaker stands and some speaker foam to put under them

These are the current PC speakers i have and they sound great for the price,
have stress tested them quite a lot. Loud crisp and deep sounds from the speakers and subs. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Personally tho, i may be on Xbox. But Sony has always had the best audio equipment in my opinion

I mean you could get some of those horrible Logitech things with a sub, but subs just ruin things. Since I've had studio monitors I cannot listen to things through subs. It just sounds fake.

So my suggestion is this:

I've heard great things about these, although they aren't the best things on the market, the sound quality will be a hell of a lot better than anything Logitech.

Those are just overpriced no name speakers 2 in 1 tweeter + Sub, but ok. The logitech's actually have a good sound for the price and Great bass, wich is what he asked for

I have a friend with the CR4's and they sound a hell of a lot better than my old Logitech ones the Z213's.

From my experience, monitor speakers are unbeatable when it comes to quality. Logitech's speakers are ok for the price, but like i said all the small sub does is just provide fake sounding bass with no ability to crank music and keep quality, it's not what they're designed for.

£100 for decent speakers is never going to get you a lot. But monitoir speakers are the way to go in my opinion. But then again i just like good sounding audio, not sure about anyone else.

I just know what I'd do if i had the option.

He's more than welcome to go for the Logitech option if distorted bass is what he's after.

I'll throw my opinion out there.

If you want just bass, get a 2.1 setup. You'll loose quality for floor shaking experiences which some might like.

I would get a decent pair of pre-amped studio speakers. Even when I had my little 402's from Tannoy, they pack a big punch for something so small and without a sub.

Only issues with studio / bookshelf speakers is that you need to go fairly big in order to get that low end going.

nope them are mackies around the same quality as the alesis there not bad id recommend these too but id recomend 5" or bigger tbh since there direct speakers same with almost all studio monitors its got the best blend of bass mids and highs like the alesis have a bass button so u can use them for general use i use yammahas hs8's and the alesis elevate 5's as a reference speakers also use them as my general gaming speakers too and films so tbh it depends what u like if you have ur mind set on legitec speakers good luck and get what you want tbh its personal preference theres a reason alot of dj's use makie cr5's and 8's but it depends on what you want

Busted, nah. That's just what subs do lol.

I just have a taste for premium audio. Like Adam said above, 402's pretty much set the benchmark for me and audio, I have his old ones. The CR4's aren't quite as good as the 402's, but then they are half the price. So they wouldn't be. Also 402's are Tannoy, which are a dedicated professional audio company so they know how to go about making decent speakers xD

If these 402's were to pack up on me, I would consider getting some CR4's myself as I cannot push these 402's to their full potential as often as i'd like. But that's the thing with studio monitors, you can throw pretty much whatever music you want at it and at any level you see fit. And they will deliver.

but hey, each to their own on that front.
