tbh i tried this when i first bought an SSD and got so mad that it would not work because i did not know how to do a clean install and ended up returning the SSD. So what im saying is its probably best to do a clean install of windows and use a media creation usb or disc. Then goto advanced setup and format your drives then choose the SSD to install windows on. You may of known how to do that but if you need more help i could assist.
i will say the most recent time i did a clean install and refreshed my PC though i ran into some issues and had to use Command Prompt and DiskPart to fix. If your not great with things like this i wouldnt attempt it.
