That's what I'd get probably.

Could be a good option, but if you sit close to your monitor when you use it, it's gonna be way too big.
Or, last option, if you just want something nice but as cheap as possible;

Yeah I'll probably go for the first one thanks also what's the advantage of g-sync is it worth getting ?
Also in a month or so I'll be getting a 144hz 1440p monitor to go beside it anything you could recommend for that? £400 budget for that
Thanks again

A 4k G-Sync monitor will set you back £700, so not really worth it IMO. G-Sync would definitely be a great feature to have, but not for a £300-350 premium.
Im not sure why you'd buy a 4k 60Hz monitor with the intention of getting a 1440p 144Hz monitor in a month. Thats just a waste of money IMO. It would maybe make sense if you bought a nice 4k TV/Monitor for the Xbox and then use the 1440p 144Hz monitor for the PC. 4k 144Hz monitors are pretty much ready though and should be on the market soon. Since youre prepared to pay £900 for a 4k monitor and a 1440p 144Hz monitor, I'd just wait for high refresh rate 4k, which will likely be around the £1000 range.

Yeah my plan was to use the 4K for the Xbox and the 1440p for PC, you have any idea when the 4K 144hz monitors as the Xbox is out in a month so would prefer to get a monitor before then

I just want to add on really quick with the LG 4k monitor because I have this one. The stand for it is a little wobbly. You did mention you are using it for Xbox so I doubt that would be an issue, but if it was for a desktop and you're a fast or aggressive typer it does shake a lot. The power brick also gets hot. After an hour or two it does get hotter than I would feel safe with if you have carpet. Definitely a great monitor, but I would highly recommend a VESA mount if you feel it will be shaking too much.
LIttle confused with this though, are you asking about wanting a 4k 144Hz monitor for Xbox? Plenty of issues with this.
1. Both PS4 and Xbox One had known issues when people tried to use a monitor that had a refresh rate over 60Hz. Most of it was input lag people noticed while others would randomly lose signal for a second then it would pop back in. I'm not too sure if the Xbox One X is going to be above 60Hz, but I seriously doubt it will, since it's more designed for the living room and the majority of people are rocking 60Hz televisions.
2. Even if Xbox One X did support a higher refresh rate than 60, 4k 144Hz isn't going to happen. Hell even on PC 4k 144Hz is not going to happen on easily 80% of games(we're not counting those pixel indie games because Steam is flooded with those things.) A lot of people seem to think Xbox One X is some powerful 4k machine, but it's either upscaled 4k or 4k on low/medium settings. I remember reading some posts about game devs saying that couldn't make the games on 4k run at 60 FPS so they had to lower it down. 4k 144Hz is just an unrealistic expectation on Xbox and even PC right now.
3. A 4k 144Hz monitor is going to kill your bank. Linus did a video on the Acer Predator X27 monitor which is 4k 144Hz IPS with G-Sync and the pricing given to him on the display floor was $2,000 or roughly £1519.25 as of October 12th 2017 at 8:15 AM. ASUS' monitor has not had a price point that I am aware of, but I imagine it will be around that area if not more considering ASUS 1440p monitors have been more expensive than Acer with the exact same display - with the exclusion of Acer's XB270HU. Spending that type of money on a monitor that won't even hit the refresh rate performance wise is just wasting money at that point. We barely just managed to get GPUs that will hit 4k 60 FPS on high/ultra with little to no AA on. We're still a distance from 144 FPS or more on 4k. Volta might be the stepping stone for that, with the 1180 Ti or whatever they want to call it, but I still think we might be 2 GPU generations away from that, which would put consoles at 6+ years away, given the release times of them?
Edit: Grammar

My reasoning for recommending 4k 144Hz is because for the price it'll cost, you're going to get a ridiculously good monitor with pretty much ALL the features lol. That said, for £1500, no thanks. If it was around £1000, it could potentially be worth it for OP. He could run PC at 1440p 144Hz or 4k60Hz for most stuff, 4k144Hz for games that are really easy to run, and just run the Xbox at 4k60Hz.
However, another alternative(which I'd probably do myself) is just buy a 4k TV for the Xbox, and get a nice 1440p high refresh monitor for the PC. You can get 4k TVs stupid cheap now, I seen one on sale in Currys/PCWorld for like £300 not too long ago.
So, I think what I'd suggest doing is grabbing a 1440p high refresh rate monitor now, and then buy yourself a 4k TV for the Xbox. I guarantee there will be some ridiculously cheap TVs on Black Friday, and right after Christmas/New Year so I'd wait for those sales and grab something then. You'll still be able to use the 1440p monitor for the Xbox in the meantime.
So here's some monitors;

So it's been a while and couldn't be bothered making a new topic, I found this monitor which claims it supports freesync over HDMI and is the only one I can see? It's for the Xbox one X

If there are any others you could suggest I'm welcome to it but I can't fit a TV on my desk so it had to be a monitor
Thanks
