Xbox one stereo chat adapter problems

I've been searching everywhere to try and sort my issue but can't find anything I now have 2 chat adapters as I got send a replacement the problems I'm having is that when set up to my headset it's not picking up my mic the mute button works on both adapters as it lights up but all the other buttons on the adapter don't do anything no beeping sound when pressed they beep when I plug normal headphones in the 3.5mm jack of the adapter I'm using an official Xbox one controller official Microsoft chat adapter and Astro a50 headphones my headphones work fine on Xbox 360 tho so I don't no what the problem is has anyone had this issue or no how to fix it? Help would be appreciated also when I press the adapter button with my headphones plugged in everyone can hear a beeping noise from me

Just incase because this happened to me. My a50s got unsynced from the amp so make sure you sync them again just to be sure. And I would check the firmware too. I would just download the firmware program just to make sure because that's what makes your mic work on the Xbox one/ps4.
