Doesn't matter what game you go on but thats what 360 is, if I'm honest done my fair share of being an asshole as a modder but don't get anything from it haha. If there is another modder I'll normally turn on my off-host and try kill him cause he was gonna use it anyway.

MW2 isn't even playable if you're a modder. Every couple of games there's c*nts that freeze your console.

MW2 is my favorite game of all time. I would hate to see it end up like CoD 4 where every lobby is just modded as hell. :-(

So recently. i hooked up my 360 to play some mw2/mw3 for old time sake, and it seems like like 70% of the lobbies i get into, its either someone aimbotting instakilling everyone, or 3-4 people showing off whos Jitter with the striker is better.

First couple of days were okay, jitters here and there. then after 3-4 days, they're everywhere. TDM, SnD etc.

Now i have a "OG" Gamertag that sticks out. so first thing i hear every time i join a lobby is "nice spoofed name" or "back out that guy is hacking" to be honest, i didn't even know what that was. I had to google what spoofing a name was.

So, randomly a couple of days ago, some dude was like "Can i buy your account", i reply with, "nah sorry man", so the game starts up, and he de-ranks me. like why? i wasn't even mad or anything, just sort of annoyed that i had to get level 13 or whatever level to play snd again. since its the only populated game type at nighttime.

Same thing happens on mw3, im playing snd. then out of nowhere i get de-ranked. but that time, i was sort of annoyed that i lost all my perks and guns. like MSR is damn near level 80 to get again.

And i'm playing mw2 last night. some guy's blatantly hacking. bragging to everyone that he can hit you offline, and so on. so i kill him by luck of course. and he freezes my xbox.

And then these are the type of people who ask for backwards compat on these games and wonder why they haven't made them yet? people only look at the hosters but they don't realise there's so many more problems then just setting stats and lobbies.

I really do enjoy these games, its just people like this make it hard to even want it backwards compatible.


Tl;dr Bad streak of modders on older cods.

Just make the most of it while it lasts the 360 servers won't be online in another 3-4 years anyways. The sooner the 360 servers go down the better.

Modders do to much sometimes. I can understand a private match modded lobby, but i cant stand going online in a pub and playing against a modder.

Fair enough man, I am a modder but I just give people anything for free, tbh them type of modders are just looking to get a reaction out of you best thing to do is go along with it.

I've run in to this problem a handful of times in Free For All on MW2.

It's extremely frustrating; all I wanted to do was play a normal match but here you are spawnkilling everybody because 'you find it fun'.

I have no problem with modders who don't impede the experience of other players, or even the ones who run random lobbies and the like - hell, I used to be one -, but can we not do this instakill/aimbot bs?

It's especially sad because things like this diminish the MW2 playerbase even more than it is already.

Yea I feel you I'm a modded myself and I've just been hosting xp lobby's so people can try max rank.
