I sold my RGH over a year ago now and since then I've been completely out of the modding scene. Anyway today I was given an xbox by a friend and told it was 'chipped' but he hasn't use it in years and cant remember what it does. He seems to remember it being sent away to someone but apart from that he cant remember anything.
Now I tried to put XeX Menu on the console to see if it was a JTAG/RGH (bearing in mind he told me I'm not allowed to open the xbox and check as he wants to sell it to CeX) and at first I thought I succeeded. XeX menu showed up on the USB, I moved it to HDD and then it game up in games, I went to launch and it just says cant launch XeX Menu 1.2. Surely if it wasn't a JTAG/RGH and it was just retail it would have just corrupted straight away?
Is there any quick way to check whats been changed on this xbox wether its retail, flashed drive, JTAG/RGH etc. It cant connect to live either as I don't have the wireless adapter.
Thanks

Well you can boot console with eject button and see if Xell Boots.
Normally all RGH consoles have a chip installed and the chip has a debug Led you can see it where the hard drive slot is while the system is being powered on.
Lot of people also sometimes refer as chip that the system is Flash with LT 3.0 software

Booted with eject and no Xell so I'm assuming it's not JTAG/RGH. Any quick way to tell if its flashed?
