Hey so my buddy just bought a prebuilt computer for two grand and within five days hes had nothing but problems with it. I told him from i the beginning to build it like I did. So im wondering if someone here with good knowledge of current computer parts could put together a build for him?
This is the computer he ended up buying: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Budget & Currency: 2000$ USD
Peripherals & Monitor: No monitors as he already has this. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] ......... He plans on getting one more in the future
Games: Major gaming computer
Software: Intel, windows
Aesthetics: Make it a nice looking computer, fit in a ince case, rgbs if possible, and water cooler?
Rebates/Promos: what ever is good
Details: he got a 1080ti in his prebuilt so probably around that line again
When: as soon as possible! he really wants to start gaming again.
Thanks!!

It had to be his fault it faulted in any way. Most of the Omen lineup is solid and usually issueless. He could've easily reinstalled windows and started fresh.

Can easily save some money by swapping the ram for a slightly lower speed, swapping the case for a p300s, drop the cooler for a dual tower.
If he want's RGB buy a strip, or a hue+ and throw that in there. Keep in mind this list is likely based on a lot of today's deals; prices will not stick for long.

You can spend the extra $120 for the 8700k over the 8600k if you want, but I wouldn't bother.

Price is a bit more of the 8700k rn, psu is overkill, but will allow for another 1080ti in the future if he chooses to.
