can someone help me out real quick?? i am keeping my old hard drive also from my old computer and it has my old motherboards drivers on it and all that i am scared that if i use it on my new one that mothing will go wrong when booting up, and also will windows trasfer over?? i am building my pc monday and did not order windows or a hard drive because i have this one

I don't think you can just transfer the hard drive to a complete new system i believe i tried it once and it didn't boot.

ahhh man what do i do this has been soooo stressfull and i have not even started the build yet

If you have a USB i would download the windows of choice and make your USB bootable. Once you have done that you will be able to put your hard drive into the other PC boot from the USB and reinstall windows and just use a trial version of windows for the time being. Save any files from your hard drive on an external source like mediafire or something along those lines.

EDIT: Also if you do that and install windows that way there are many stores online that sell a code for around £20

Old hard drive wont work in new mobo as it will be looking for hardware which will throw errors your best off creating a seperate partition or backing up your data and reinstalling

all i have is a crappy all in one computer (my moms) is there anyway i can do all this without paying anything. ive spent way over my budget and i just want this done already
