The Line Zen
Platform: Android, iOS
Genre: Arcade
Release Date: April 30th, 2015
Developer: Ketchapp
Publisher: Ubisoft
Synopsis
Welcome to The Line Zen. The Line Zen is the sequel to 2014's hit game, The Line, but now with a new twist. You still dart and weave through a procedurally generated world while avoiding the red shapes, but now you use friendly green shapes to your advantage -- but be careful -- because sometimes they can get in the way!
Gameplay
This game is so phenomenal for just how frustrating it gets after you die 100 times trying to get to 50 score. In The Line Zen you play as a simple blue ball thats going through some really difficult obstacles trying to see how far you can get. There is a load of different obstacles you'll have to go through to some being spikes on the walls or the walls closing in on your. There are global leaderboards to see how far people have actually got into the game but I go out thinking you can get achieve the highest score just like that. Line Zen takes A LOT of patience for how many times you're going to fail and some good reflexes because at moments objects will hurl themselves at you and you'll have to dodge them as fast as possible. If you dont have any of these skills then I would not recommend downloading this game. Every try you'll go through a completely different stage so making it even harder because you wont know whats coming. There are moments in the game where there is no way in actually making it through a specific thing because the game will place a huge circle in the way stopping you from going. (Could be a generating glitch or just making the game even harder) There are also shapes that are colored green that will not destroy you on contact but they still can get in your way pushing you into a red shape.
Graphics
The graphics in The Line Zen consist of 4 colors. The blue ball being your character that you are fully controlling by sliding your finger across the screen, Red objects that will kill you when you touch your blue ball at any time against them. Green objects that act somewhat as your friends because they will not destroy you if collided with them, and then there's your pathway that's skin color and hopefully you'll be trying to follow the whole time. You will notice at random points in your runs there will be lights shining on the path creating a shadow of your ball. Haven't figured out the point of them but it's a cool feature I guess. And that's it for what you're looking at in the game. I truly dont think they could have done anything better to make it look any better than what it looks like now. It's an arcade type game so it really doesn't need that much work in the graphics section of it.
Controls
Pretty easy controls, The very first time you play the game it will give you the fastest tutorial on how to move your ball. All you have to do is just hold your screen and move side to side which moves your ball. I personally find a delay in the controls but that could just be my end. Controls are simple and that's all to it. The movement of the ball can be slow at times and actually be delayed where you wonder how you actually died but overall the controls are pretty easy and can be done just like that.

This game looks so fun but so so so stressful/ angering. Great review of this game man, I may need to check it out depending on how angry I'll get at it. The pictures of the game make me remember of few old online games.
