I've only "dated" one girl, was for 6 years and I learned that she didn't like materialistic things. I guess a lot of girls don't. I could buy her a brand new Lamborghini with a Coach purse but she would rather just have a day alone with just the two of us. On a couple birthdays that's what we did, we literally got a hotel room and just sat in there all day and talked and watched TV. Turned the phones off and it was honestly some of the best times of my life.

As far as Christmas, we have a "winter train" in my area that takes you through beautiful areas of the state via train so we did that a couple times.

You might look into seeing how you guys can spend time together alone or semi alone rather than just what you can buy her. P.S. she might be interested in sports or racing but I'm not suggesting but tickets to a sporting event as there's no alone time to talk.

Get a nice frame and make a collage of pictures, or frame a super meaningful one.
I'm gonna try to make one this year with drift wood and sea shells, and put pictures of us at the beach(our favorite place to be).

You have to think about what she really likes. My girlfriend has 3 turtles so I got her a huge glass turtle. And she always talks about The Avett Brothers and how it's her favorite band growing up. So I am getting her tickets to the House of Blues show. They're coming here in march but the tickets are already selling out. I will also make an album with her favorite songs and give it to her as one gift.
