I accidentally dropped my work laptop today, it wasn't a huge drop or anything and there is no external damage. It continued working for a while.

Then it shut down and now won't start up as it says I need to install an operating system on the hard disk, and it says boot device not found. When I turn the laptop on I hear no sort of start up sounds.

Is the drive completely broken or just disconnected? How would you beat suggest to fix this?

I think the hard drive with the OS on it has come loose and it just keeps connecting and disconnecting.

Since I dropped it I haven't been able to start it up again so there's not much connecting lol. How do you recommend fixing this, I don't know too much about computers etc. Will it be fairly simple for a beginner?

Any way you can post your computer specs to see if anyone can find a video to assist you in opening your laptop up to get to your HDD? It may require you to open it up to disconnect and reconnect the HDD
