In the UK it isn't a massive thing although if the bill comes to like £54 ill leave like £60 im always weary of where the tip goes as in is it to the person that's served me or is it split!

I hardly eat out in restaurants but even then I normally pay by card and don't carry change to leave a tip but if I order food take away that's delivered to my house I normally give a £3 or £4 tip

Only if I know that it's going to the person I'm handing it to. Typically in restaurants nowadays the tips are collected and split between all staff which I do not tip for.
