So I noticed that my PC's CPU was running at like 50% when sitting idle with no programs open so I opened Task Manager and noticed that two Processes were running that are making my CPU run like this. Any information or help would be greatly appreciated

I guarantee they will settle within a few seconds if not a minute. Standard Windows services. If in doubt restart your machine and check Windows updates ain't running.

Are you on Windows 10? As there has been a problem with CPU idling since it was released, you just have to hot fix it with changing a few things, It was awhile ago when I had to fix it for mine so I couldn't give you the exact things I had to change, However a quick google search can give you the answers you need.

Edit: Wait no, Mine was due to it always using a large portion of RAM even on idle, however this could be the same problem. I'd still suggest hitting google.

Good news guys! I fixed it myself. seems to be working well, hopefully its a permanent fix instead of temporary but this will do for now.

What I did:

Go to settings -> update & security -> Windows Defender -> Open Windows Defender -> Firewall & Network protection. now that you are here scroll to the bottom of the page and click restore all firewall settings. once done your cpu problem should undo itself!
