I never build a pc before but I'm trying to talk my younger brother out of buying this $2000 gaming laptop when I can just spend $800 on a build and be fine. So basically he wants to be able to run games like GTA and siege at 50-60 fps and still run 1080p so would a

Intel Pentium G4600 3.6 LGA 1151 GHz Dual-Core Desktop Processor

And

EVGA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti Graphics card do the trick? With maybe 8gb of ram

Any advice would be appreciated.

If you wait for B360 motherboards to launch, you can save $30 on the motherboard easily. Alternatively, you could get a Ryzen 3 1200 for $110 and a B350 motherboard for $75-90. Drop the Cryorig cooler if you go with Ryzen.

That was probably the best response I think I could have gotten thank you and yeah I have a 1080 p monitor
