Xbox One Headset Help

So for Christmas i got a pair of Turtle Beach X 0 Three's and they work just fine, great sound to it. Only problem I have is that it doesn't have voice feed back like you can't hear yourself so you don't necessarily know how loud you are and its kinda hard to talk to people.
My question being is this just how the headset is or is there something wrong with them?

For me, headset feedback is in the xbox audio settings.
