Hi,

Would anyone be able to help me with this issue?

Basically, I would go to play Call of Duty: WWII and connect to a match. When I join the match, the game will start off showing that I have green bars beside my gamertag, but after about five seconds, it would fluctuate between red, orange and then back to green. Sometimes my bullets or grenades take a couple of seconds longer to register after pressing buttons.

It's frustrating, because I'd be running along and every five seconds I'd get a brief moment of lag and end up running into a wall or be moved to the left or the right. It's making every game unplayable online and I can't figure out a solution.

Anyone got any ideas?

How do you connect your Xbox to the internet? I'd recommend wired.

Have you ran speed tests from a PC and everything okay with internet speed?

Do you have UPnP enabled on your modem/router? If not, turn it on.

On Xbox Settings app, if you go into Network Settings is your NAT Type: Open?

Guess I'll followup after you reply.

Wireless because I have yet to order a long enough ethernet cable to reach from downstairs to the room where the Xbox is, which is upstairs.

The download/upload speeds are terrible, 3 Mbps download speed and 0.52 Mbps upload.

Going to check on that now. EDIT: UPnP was already set to Activated.

Checked the Xbox Settings and the NAT Type is set to Open.

Well looking at your down/up speed, the only options is to get a Ethernet cable into your room via drill if possible, check and see if your computer/xbox is downloading games, that could also be a problem. And disconnect your phone/laptop from the wifi before playing.

I would say it's due to your download speed being weak, In conjunction to this the lag might be occurring because you have other things connected to your modem/router using bandwidth. 3 MB/S isn't great so if you are the home owner I would perhaps try and find another ISP that can provide a better download speed or line.

Yes I think that you should get a better router or get a Ethernet cable. I have Wireless and I am fortunately enough to have really good connection. But try to get a new router, one that is specifically for gaming purposes.

I have two WiFi's all with one router:

The Regular WiFi:

Apologies for somewhat 'grave-digging' this topic, but I'd rather post here with an update than have to create an entirely new topic.

Still experiencing issues with my online connections. Unfortunately I'm not able to use a wired connection due to the distance from the console to the router. Does anyone have any other solutions? Is there any settings I can change? I'm with TalkTalk.
