I currently have a xbox one 1. Gen.

I played perfectly fine a couple of weeks ago. I just wanted to play some GTA but the Xbox wont change the resolution from 480p. Ive tried a different HDMI Port, different HDMI Cable and a different TV. Did my Xbox just rip?

Would a reset maybe fix the problem?

Have you tried to edit this in the settings itself?

Look up how to boot your console into troubleshooting mode, once you do this ( It'll be in a low res ) try changing it inside there. under the settings

I already looked for that the only thing i found was holding the power button for 10 seconds. Tried that but no luck

I think all the Xbox ones are break to make us buy xbox one x.

My Xbox one just flat out didnt show a picture anymore out of no where. This happened a few days after the launch of xbox one x.

It sounds like to me you basically have a simpler problem, but at least you can still see a display, my xbox turns on find but nothing shows up.

I now have a Xbox one s, no way im paying another £450 for the new one no thx.

Anyway as you said yourself, id say a reset is the way to go mate.

Thats so weird. I literally haven't touched it since I last used it and now its just broken.
Yeah no way I would get the X. Lets see if the factory reset works.

hold the power button for 10 seconds while the system is on. The system will turn off. When you hit the button again, it will start and display the green start-up screen. All your data is preserved, but cache is cleared and some settings are reverted and log-in or game start issues are resolved.

Turn it off then hold the power and eject button at same time. Should boot to what chat was saying.
