Location is northeastern United States.

Budget: 2500-3000 USD

Monitor/Peripherals: Resolution preferably 4K, 28", don't know enough about other factors to request. Good on mouse/headphones, wouldn't mind a good keyboard suggestion, will be mostly used for gaming, limited typing. This may be a dumb question but do modern day systems offer the ability to connect to bluetooth headphones?

Games: Yes, recently I've been playing Shadows of War on PS4 as well COD WWII. Would love to see an elder scrolls sequel and play that on the highest settings but I'm not holding my breath

Software: Basics

Aesthetics: lower priority, no specific requests, my current case is basically just all plain black

Rebates: fine to include

Details: Would prefer a relatively sizable SSD, I've gotten really frustrated with my 128 GB SSD in my current aging build. My computer knowledge has waned over the years and I don't really have any other specific requests other than being able to play the newest games at the highest settings.

When: Now, but, I have read about the current issue with GPU's being snatched up for crypto mining. If waiting a month or two may help I'd be willing. I know cyptos are coming down from their recent boom, not sure if that'll eventually help GPU prices in the near future.

Mining profitability did come down, but it shot back up recently hence why GTX 1070s are $800+ instead of <$400, 1070Ti's/1080s are $1000+ instead of $450-550 range, and GTX 1060/RX 580s are ~$400+ instead of <$200-250. There's just literally no logical GPU to purchase right now, unless you buy used or a GT 1030 for $75, maybe a GTX 1050 for $130, but those are both still over-priced.

You can up the 8600k to an 8700k if you want. For motherboard, I went kinda middle of the road. I'd personally spend a bit more on motherboard for something I like the look of a bit better and has the I/O I need, but you could easily get away with the cheaper MSI Z370 SLI Plus for $140. For cooler, Dark Rock Pro 3 is what I'd get(I'm actually waiting for Dark Rock Pro 4's to release so I can upgrade from my Kraken X61), but if you'd prefer an AIO, grab a Corsair H115i(Pro) or NZXT Kraken X62. For case, I stuck with a safe option but again, there are other options. CM H500P is what I'd like to recommend but Cooler Master are right in the middle of sending out H500P Rev. 2's(as well as a new H500M) with better airflow. I'd steer clear of Corsair for the most part(in terms of cases), Phanteks, Fractal and Cooler Master are the 3 I like to stick with usually. Nice big SSD, grab the 1TB variant if you want, and/or add whatever capacity HDD you need/want. I'd pull over the storage from your current system as well and add that. You can get the K70 RGB LUX with MX Browns instead of MX Blues for $10 less.

I haven't included a GPU with this due to pricing, like I mentioned. I'd recommend waiting until 1080Ti's are $700-800 again and picking a 1080Ti up. Alternatively, a 1070Ti when they're sub $500 again. Either way, you have SLI support so you'd be able to add a 2nd 1070Ti or 1080Ti in the future at any point if you want/need.

Lastly, I included a nice 4k monitor like asked for, but here are another couple of monitor options;

cheaper 4k monitor if you'd rather save some money or;

3440x1440 ultrawide, 75Hz. This is the one I'd go for, unless I was feeling particularly baller, in which case I'd get this;
