Hi guys, just looking for advice on whether to invest in a used 2009 MacBook Pro. I am a film student so looking at getting something pretty portable and dedicated to just running premier and other semi pro software for when I'm out and about. (Specifically America in the summer). I'll list the specs below but ultimately I am just curious if this machine will pack enough punch, and edit "ok" and relatively "smooth" thanks in advance.

MacOS Sierra
Intel core 2 duo 2.26GHz
8GB DDR3 memory
NVIDIA GeForce 9400m 256mb

It would handle it. But I wouldn't expect much from a core2 duo. If it was me and your use case. I wouldn't buy it though.

Unless you love wait times.

Awesome, cheers for the reply. Any suggestions in what I should look for (spec wise) to get it to a relatively decent machine. is It to do with ram? Honestly I'd no clue mate and appreciate your reply a lot as it's going to save me time and money!!

It depends really. Also depends on how big your budget is.

Just make sure to research as much as you can before buying one. As a wrong buy can cause more annoyance than most think.
