it turns on then goes off after like 2 seconds would i be able to fix it if i took it apart

You could always try the old fashioned "put it in rice"

You might not even have to take it apart, hopefully rice doesn't get under the sticks.

That's happened to me before it almost fried the controller so I blow dried the crap out of it and it worked perfectly fine after lol

This is the correct thing to try first do not take it apart just stick it in a bag of rice. Let it sit for 2 days

Remove the battieries or battiery pack

Usually anything electronic that gets fried from water is past saving but like everyone is saying take it apart and check the spot and see if you can get a part to replace the fried bits but if not then RIP controller. Hopefully it lived a long life!
