Hello all,
I'm looking for a relatively cheap desktop build for my girlfriend. She wants to use roughly $500-$600 of her upcoming tax return to buy it.
When using the $500-$600 price point, this does not include the graphics card, monitor, or any peripherals. I'm giving her my old graphics card as well as a spare monitor and peripherals.
She primarily just wants to play Fortnite and Overwatch with a decent FPS.
I'm super super busy this weekend and can't really find the time to put a build together.
If any of you guys could help that would be fantastic! :^)

What GPU, monitor, and other peripherals will you be giving her?
Will the system just be used for Fortnite and Overwatch, or anything else?
I'm assuming she won't be overclocking?
Any preferences(aesthetics, or otherwise)?

--I'll be giving her my old GTX 660 2GB, 21.5 inch Acer monitor, along with a spare logitech g710+ and proteus core.

--Yeah she will primarily just play Fortnite and Overwatch, along with the occasional Minecraft and League of Legends

--Yeah she won't be overclocking
Any preferences(aesthetics, or otherwise)?
--Nothing in particular, just looking for a really cost effective build.

Ryzen 2 is pretty close, so by the time you're buying, you may be able to get an R3 2200 or something instead. Or maybe even go with an i3-8100 and H310 motherboard. With a $500-600 budget, you can include an entry level GPU, but the GTX 1050 is a considerable upgrade over a GTX 660 and will allow her to play all those games at max settings at 1080p comfortably.
