When my mom divorced my dad, my sister and I kinda knew the reason and that it was bound to happen beforehand, so I'm not sure how to help you with this, but I will say that I still love my dad despite everything. It would be better to know, whether through text, phone call, or face to face. And if she says no, she says no. I hope things go well man, and that you find the answers you're looking for. Best of luck.

Don't just drop it over text... completely out of the blue. How about have a face to face conversation and just casually drop it.

You're 20 mate you should know how to speak to your Mum

Yes. Ask. If you're emotionally and mentally stable enough to ask, you should also be stable for whatever the answer is. I say this just in case the issue has something to do with you, since lots of families have divorces sometimes due to the children themselves.

I obviously hope that isn't the reason but just a helpful tip. You're 20, you have every right to know and it's weird you hadn't asked yet. No communication at all between you and your family? Because that happens as well with divorced families.

Good luck and I hope the answer satisfied your want to know.

I asked my parents why they did and felt better after talking about it with my mom.

I think it's ok to ask. I'd suggest getting dinner or something. Just do t make her seem like it was her fault. There is always two sides of the story! Just be polite about. I mean he's you're Dad you have the right to know. Good luck my man I hope you find out what you're looking for.

My parents divorced whenever I was only a year old. I asked a few years ago and they both told me a different story. I do believe it is good to know, though. I believe it will allow for some closure. Especially, if you want to have a relationship with both of your parents.

I mean if you're still curious go for it, it's definitely been some time now and I'm sure they have wanted to tell you why and just never got around to it. You're old enough to handle it now.

Crazy I see this post because I'm going through the same but at a much older age and honestly it's best to stay out of it bro. That's their emotional problems and they know how to handle those things. But I mean if you really wanna know you could always ask. I'm sure you already know though. Somebody showed infidelity and things just happened.
