It'll be tuff but it can be done. Most likely you'll have to cut or modify some of the frame to clear the headers and oil pan. People have done this swap before but it will be trail and error.
The ls3 has a drive by wire throttle body so you will have to use a electronic gas pedel or convert it to drive by cable.
You will need a wiring harness. You can either modify the ls3 harness to work with the car. Or buy a standalone harness.
You'll also need ls swap motor mounts, oil pan, and headers.
If you are planning on keeping a/c then you will have to buy a bracket that will move the ls3 compressor from bottom to top.
You can use the stock transmission but it will be easier buying a 4l60e or if you are manual and want to keep it then get a t56 from a v8 97.5 to 02 camaro.
If you change transmission you will also need a new drive shaft.
If you have the extra money to spend then I would upgrade the axles in the rear end while your at it.

Straight heads up, if you don't know how to fabricate, or know someone who can, you're gonna be looking at a super expensive build as there is quite a bit of cutting and moving parts around to get it all to fit. I've done many swaps, however mine was an ls7, and if it's gonna be ANYWHERE close to how mine went, get some beers ready cause it's gonna be one helluva ride.
