Honestly, I don't like to upset people so I try to be much nicer. However, with graphics you need to be constructive so please don't be offended.

When it comes to designing you can't just slap a text change the font and put a picture behind it to make something good. Designing is all about being creative. My advice would be, take some time out doing minimalistic designs starting with just experimenting with fonts/pen tools and shape, as well as background colours and using the effects.

These designs aren't incredibly bad, they're not good either. Keep practicing, you can only improve!
