so my last post that i made was about 10 days ago and it was explaining how the cops took my phone without a warrant or any probable cause and they said they would call me when i can get it back. so its been ten days and my dad has been calling the cops for the past 5 days trying to get my phone back but the police have been playing games. last thursday i went on vacation and called the police and asked if i could have my phone back because i was going on vacation and keep in mind i made this call a few hours before i left and they said to me no cop in the station has a key to the evidence room therefore i would have to wait until the officer that has the key is on duty. so i told them that its alright and to give me a call when i can get it and they said i should have it back by monday which was two days ago and havent recieved a call. i have called them multiple times and they haven't returned my calls at all and its ridiculous because im paying my phone bill for it to sit in police evidence for no reason. at this point i do not know what to do so if you have any suggestions leave them below.

You need to go down to their station and file a complaint with the sheriff or whoever is in charge.

What you should do is go down to the station and get someone to talk to that works there to solve the problem.

You can do that, any reason to why they took your phone?

If they deem it to be evidence towards any crime they're legally allowed to keep it until they get what they need. However, they do need to tell you why they have it if that is the case.

Personally, I'd actually visit the station and speak to an officer. I've had my phone taken before as they believed I was threatening someone, they kept it for around 3 weeks. Only to find out it was me being threatened.

Good luck getting it back bud!

Not to be the bad guy but posting on here isn't going to get your phone back.

Go down and file a complaint.

Like other people have said. There is nothing you can really do other than go back down there and file a complaint or talk to a supervisor or someone higher up.
