Ever since I played the game Need for Speed: Most Wanted, I always wanted to get one of these cars, well, Saturday I took a 3 hour trip across PA to go get her. Here is my 2005 Cobalt SS

Now, i've never owned a supercharged car before, but I know for a fact, the turboed SS is a lot faster than these, I think i'll stick with the supercharger though.

The engine bay is in really clean shape, none of the pipes are dry rotted and cracked, all the belts are in great shape, and this car has zero mechanical issues.

One of my favorite things right off the bat was the head unit in the car, its a Pioneer AppRadio 3.

There are some things that need to be done though, the shift boot in the car is ugly and worn, for sure gonna be one of my first things I swap out.

The front brump has a crack from bottoming out of the guys driveway, ouch!

The paint is peeling on the hood and roof, probably just gonna wrap them both in carbon fiber and call it a day.

I would like to get the car tinted within the next few months and have it lowered.

Some basic engine mods I want done, a better pulley for the supercharger, new injectors and spark plugs will probably go with NGK, custom ZZP exhaust manifold and full exhaust system.

Some interior work i'd liked done is the seats were never cared for so the one is ripped, I already bought replacement seats for them, just have to install them. Would like the shift boot, like I said, replaced, will happen soon. Some custom door speakers as the ones in it cut in and out.

Other than that I have no idea. Drop some suggestions on what I should mod on this car.

Heck yeah man! Glad to see you went and got her.
Looks really good for what it is, in my area people with them just drive them like a normal daily, they get trashed.
As for what I'd suggest for mods, definitely upgrade the pulley, for spark plugs, I'll be with you, get some NGKs. Bigger injectors, new shift boot, basically everything you stated already, as me and you have pretty good knowledge and basically say the same thing on every post haha. In the long run though, maybe get an upgraded supercharger, or turbo it considering it's already built to withstand mild boost, it wouldn't be too much of a hassle. Maybe get a short throw shifter.
Also, check the sunroof bezel, as it's a common thing for them just to simply fall out. Also couldn't hurt to check the serpentine belt if you haven't already.
Other than that, heck yeah brother! I hope to see you post more updates on her and keep us updated with plans!

Never really like Cobalts.

My buddy had a SS with a custom exhaust and I loved it.

Good choice with stick.

Added a video, straight piped the car and not too happy with the sound, sounds like a honda with a fart can, loud as hell too. That is what I like about it just not the sound, gonna put a full exhaust on it in the spring for sure.
