The build is good but there are a few things I would personally change.

Might want to look into getting a bigger SSD. 512GB is preferable if you plan on installing more than 1 -2 modern games.

What case are you planning on using?

Might want to look into getting a different monitor. The 1080 Ti is a real powerhouse and should be put to use. I suggest something that is 1440p with g-sync.

Ive got a 5tb in my current build il put in this one,

Il be getting a Thermaltake - View 71 TG RGB ATX Full Tower Case

I have looked at 4k etc, but unsure what to get.
Not sure if theres more delay in 4k monitors or not? (As single player games i was gonna run on my 4k tv then online gaming on a fast monitor) if that all makes sense

Thermaltake View 71 is the case;

As for the monitor, it is 2560x1080 which is a fairly low resolution for a 1080Ti. However, it is 200Hz so a 1080Ti would pair pretty nicely with it. That said, I'd definitely go 3440x1440 @ 100Hz instead.

I agree that the SSD isn't too well suited to this system(IMO), but 250GB is enough for OS and 3, maybe 4 AAA titles.

OP - No idea what you're paying for anything so can't really give my opinion on whether it's worth it or not. I'd change the monitor and case for sure though. I'm willing to bet you're paying FAR too much for that RAM, so I absolutely would not do that, especially since ALL RAM is already ridiculously over priced.

You've not mentioned HDD, so I'm curious as to what you're doing storage wise, other than the 960 EVO. I'm also curious as to why exactly you have a 960 EVO, as opposed to a regular SATA SSD?

Yer im a bit unsure on monitors, i was looking at that for the 200hz rating, as have around £600 budget for a monitor. And the 4k with 100hz seem to be around the 800-900 mark from what i can find.

What case would you get? As i mainly picked that one as looks like a good fan set up and has cool fancy lights haha.

Harddrive i was gonna use one i got around a year ago, its just a 5tb wd hybrid drive for storage and games etc.

As for the evo i just read reviews and they seem to perform well.

All the parts ive chosen ive put them in on various benchmark sites that seem to rate it wrll as a build.

Yer ram and gpu's are so pricey atm, which is annouying
But as for budget its around 3k give or take a few

£600 is too much for 2560x1080 IMO. I have a 2560x1080 monitor @ 75Hz which I paid £150 for a little over a year ago. Ultrawide is nice, for sure, but I'd much rather go 3440x1440 @ 60Hz for the same price(£600). That said, depending on what you use the system for, you might benefit more from the significantly higher refresh rate, as opposed to higher resolution. You can get a nice 3440x1440 monitor @ 100Hz with G-Sync for like £800 though, and that's what I'd be aiming for.

Spend £20 and get yourself an RGB LED strip, ez. Fractal Design Meshify C and Phanteks Eclipse P400S TG are my go to's for most people. Phanteks Enthoo Pro M TG is the same as the P400S basically, with a different exterior aesthetic so that would be another solid option. Phanteks also finally released the original Enthoo Pro with TG variants, here;

Personally, I'd be waiting for a Cooler Master H500P Mesh, or H500M. Phanteks Enthoo Pro SE TG would be my back-up option though, probably. NZXT H700i would be a decent option, if it wasn't ridiculously over-priced. Any more than £150 is too much.

Alright, HDD is fine then. 960 EVO benchmarks well, but that doesn't mean it's a good purchase. If you're not actually going to utilise it, then you're just wasting money. The difference from an HDD to a normal SATA SSD, like an 850 EVO is much more noticeable than 850 EVO to 960 EVO, IMO. You could get a 480-512GB SATA SSD instead of the 250GB 960 EVO, which is what I'd probably do. Again though, no idea what you're intending on using the system for exactly.

GPUs in the UK actually haven't been too bad, it was mostly the US that were having iffy GPU prices this year. Until recently, unfortunately. You could still get a GTX 1070 for £400-420 easily while they were selling for $1k+ in the US.

If you can answer these questions for us, we can try to get you something a bit better;

What exactly will the system be used for? What games will you be playing, if any, and what else will you be doing with it?
Will you be overclocking?
Preferred switches for keyboard(Cherry MX Red, Blue, etc)?
Do you need a mouse? If not, what mouse are you using?
What is your maximum budget and currency, 3000GBP?
Any specific requirements/requests?

Okay, first of all, I forgot to say last time; there are no 4k 120Hz monitors yet. We've been waiting for them for a while, and I think they're pretty close to releasing but they'll be stupidly expensive. 3440x1440@100Hz was £1000+ when they launched, expect the same for 4k 120Hz IMO, maybe as much as £1500(early 4k monitors cost this much).

Anyway, with 3 grand, this is what I'd get;

Keyboard: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] (£149.48 @ More Computers)
Mouse: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] (£49.98 @ PC World Business)
Total: £2904.97

I've used a bunch of motherboard and personally, I'll pretty much always stick to Asus from now on. I hated my MSI motherboard's BIOS. That said, the MSI Z370 Gaming Pro Carbon is a good motherboard, so you can grab that instead if you wish. Alternatively, you could get this slightly cheaper Asus mobo;
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Don't over pay for RGB RAM. RAM is just too expensive right now to pay even more premium for some flashy lights, honestly. Just grab an LED strip for the case. I went with the Enthoo Pro SE for this reason, white interior so will look nicer with LEDs. Stuck with the Kraken X62 as that seems to be what you want. I have a Kraken X61 in my own rig, but if I was building a system now, I'd go for a Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 3(or wait a little bit for the Dark Rock Pro 4).

Swapped the 960 EVO for a larger 850 EVO. You won't notice a difference between the 2 in games so the 960 EVO would just be a waste IMO. The EVGA 750G3 is a great PSU, but it's a bit over priced rn IMO. The Bitfenix Whisper is just as good as the G3, and is cheaper. I included a nice matching keyboard and mouse with RGB LEDs. K70 is a great keyboard, one of the best.

Lastly, I included a 3440x1440 monitor @100Hz, with G-Sync. This monitor will easily last you a good few years, and probably out live the rest of this system

What I'd do: similar to 13s, just a few changes to get you a M.2, RGB RAM, and a little better cooling and RBG for the GPU. The mouse isn't RGB, there is a RGB version but it is out of stock so just added the standard.

SHOTTYLEAN wrote What I'd do: similar to 13s, just a few changes to get you a M.2

Why tho? m.2 is just a form factor, like 2.5". The SSD you included, whether it's m.2 or not, is slower than an 850 EVO, and more expensive. It simply just doesn't make sense.

SHOTTYLEAN wrote RGB RAM

Not worth the £20 premium, like I said, RAM is already far too over priced right now. Also, if I was going to get RGB RAM, I'd go with the G.Skill stuff, it's better. I think you can get a 2400MHz kit of TridentZ RGB for £195(2x8GB kit obviously).

SHOTTYLEAN wrote and a little better cooling and RBG for the GPU.

I'm assuming you meant better GPU cooling, and not better cooling overall? Which would be correct, I realised I included the Black Edition GPU instead of the SC2 by accident. So, either way, I'd recommend OP get the SC2 1080Ti in your parts list. That said, with the same CPU cooler and a cheaper/worse case(S340), OP will absolutely see worse cooling overall. The Enthoo Pro TG SE is a better case, and even comes with 2 HALOS RGB fan frames, which is a cool addition I guess? lol. You would likely see better performance with the Black Edition 1080Ti in an Enthoo Pro than the SC2 1080Ti in an S340 because the Enthoo Pro has far better airflow, and GPU performance these days is almost entirely down to temperatures and silicon lottery.

SHOTTYLEAN wrote The mouse isn't RGB, there is a RGB version but it is out of stock so just added the standard.

Have you used a G502? I don't get the hype behind them. I used one for a week and literally just gave it to a friend because I hated it so much. M65 PRO RGB is a similar price and a much, much better buy IMO.
