Elder Scrolls Online, first released back in 2014 for PC, and then a year later for consoles is an MMORPG that drops the player in to the land of Tamriel. The time is set long before the previous three Elder Scrolls titles and the storyline centres around the battle between good and evil in the form of a Daedric Prince by the name of Molag Bal who wants to form a bridge between his plane of Coldharbour with Mundus so that he may be able to conquer all the land and reign supreme. If that wasn't enough, the player must also take part in the fight for the Imperial throne and join one of three factions to do so.
The first major expansion added to the game came in the form of Morrowind which was released in the middle of 2017 and set on the island Vvardenfell, previously featured in Elder Scrolls III. This expansion brought forth a new class and story, as well as a new PvP game mode.
Now, a new year, a new expansion; Summerset. Home of the Thalmor, Summerset Isle was last seen in the original Elder Scrolls: Arena released over two decades ago back in 1994. This time the expansion will include a new story, jewelry crafting, and a new skill line from the Psijic Order. The jewelry crafting profession will give player the ability to craft more potent gear to further aid them in battle, and the new magic skill line coming from the Psijic Order that will allow you to wield power over time itself through time manipulation and teleportation. Other content includes a new 12-player trial, Cloudrest, and new group PvE challenges.
The Summerset expansion is set to release on May 21st for PC, and then June 5th for consoles.
By the decree of Queen Ayrenn, Summerset Isle is now open to foreigners, but a Daedric threat looms over the breathtaking home of the High Elves. Travel to the Summerset Isle, reunite with old friends, and unravel a shadowy conspiracy that threatens all of Tamriel.
