All my temps are fine and the usage of things are low but I'm getting low FPS on simple games like GMOD and fps drops on like pubg?

Also I have a 1TB SSD with my whole PC running off this SSD, is that bad or shall I get another one for OS. Sometimes it does feel a bit slow..

Whats the rest of your specs? SSD shouldn't matter too much in games. I know in PUBG, I get real deep FPS drops even at 1440p as low as 30.

I can't speak for too much with GMOD but have you tried lowering the settings to see if it makes a difference?

Ryzen 3 OCed to 3.9ghz
8GB DDR4 OCed to 2800 from 2400 (I think)
GTX 1050Ti

I shouldn't have to down the graphics especially on gmod should I? Thing is on single player gmod is smooth as hell with very high FPS.

Gmod is a horrid game for performance online, it isn't optimised at all. As you said, single player will be spot on. Have you noticed the lag in a specific server?

For example, Prophunt will be extremelly smooth compared to servers that host roleplay etc

Hmm not as much I've been in multiple gamemodes and it's been the same. It used to be smooth as hell and I haven't installed anything since it ran smoothly.

Tried insurgency today too and that was choppy at like 20fps, it used to be smooth as silk and that was single player

How long have you had your parts overclocked for?

Do you run any game optimising software such as Razor or the Nvidia game optimiser?

Strange one tbh, have you made any recent software/hardware changes?

I've had it overclocked for a few months but tbh I don't really use the PC much, a handful of times since it's been OCed.

Nope no software like that is run, I don't really believe in them. Should I try them?

Not recently, no, was going to buy an extra ssd and another 8GB stick to see if it makes a difference but not sure.

It's like sometimes it wants to work fast and sometimes not.

I may just reinstall windows as a whole if it carries on.

Clock your memory back down to it's stock speed and retest. It may also be worth clocking your CPU back down to it's stock to be safe.

Game optimisers are a waste of time, don't bother with them.

An SSD wouldn't make much difference in games, the only difference you would see is loading times. SSDs won't benefit you in rendering etc.

Reinstalling Windows is an option however leave this till last until we've explored other options
