Just need people's opinon on this;
Basically I am 22 currently working for a corporate company earning 18k a year and recently had a promotion after being there 1 year 7 months. I didn't do well in school but I had good enough grades to go to university ( I got accepted but applied for the job and got it).
The work is hard and currently I'm not enjoying it at all, the manager doesn't know how to manage staff and numerous employees have left because of this manager.
Cut story short, I was debating whether to go back to study on marketing something which I enjoyed and hopefully come out and get a much better job as my last tests/exams weren't the best and applying somewhere with what I've currently got I doubt I'd get any decent job. Do I go back to study or stick job out and work my way up or move on?
Edit; At the moment I am currently hating going to work, I wake up and just think I hate the job I want my old job back as restaurant manager in a local pub (Similar money but not as good as working for a corporate company).
Sorry if baffled on...

You are a young man bro, I say go back and study up on something you will enjoy and get a decent job after you will love. Mean while maybe just get a part time job to keep you more busy maybe and the little extra money coming in will be good for you as well. I am 27 years old and going to collage soon to do my personal trainer course. Been in security for 8 years now and bored of it. End of day, you gonna spend alot of your time at work, so best to find something you will enjoy. Wish you all the best mate.

I agree with Mikey. I would say go back and study, especially if you enjoyed it, like you said you did with marketing. It's cheesy, but true; you gotta do something that you love doing. No matter how hard or how much work it is, do something your happy with.
That being said, I would say go back to school. Something needs to change since you are not currently happy. Go back as soon as you can, or if you need to save up some money do that. Keep your eye out for opportunities. I'm in school right now and opportunities to do things you want do happen. If you think that there is a possibility for you to be happy at your current company, with promotion, then think about that too I guess. But it sounds school and marketing would make you more happy.

Thanks Mikey for the advice, totally understand. I really want to go back to university just don't know how many family would take it after I've got such a decent/average job now.

You're young dude. Go back to school, better yourself so later down the road you can have a better job. That's what I would do in that situation.

if youre financially stable and can afford to stop working to focus on school then do it, if you arent i'd say just stick it out a little longer and save some money then go back to school.

Your education is an investment. The short-term gains probably won't be that gratifying, but I believe in the long run you are putting yourself in a position where you are more likely to find more fulfilling work. Good luck man!
