Could you possibly get a video of the Xbox making the noise? Also how long have you been playing when the noise happens?

As soon as I boot up the console, 5 minutes into playing a game the its gets warm...the area behind it is hot to the touch. Its not like a jet engine sound, but it isn't normal , it sounds like a whirring type of sound and it annoys the fk out of me. I really don't know what to do

Check the return policy. I went through 3-4 OG Xbox Ones on release due to the annoying coil whine.

Beast360bro wrote So basically, every time I play a game the Xbox one X sounds like a jet engine and is noticeably loud. On the dashboard it is silent..... I had the same problem with my 1st Xbox One X and got it replaced, now the same thing is happening. Is it supposed to be loud to where you can hear it? It is well ventilated nothing around it at all angles. Is it maybe because I sit right in front of it and I am so close to it?
Thanks.
I have a Xbox one X Scorpio edition. I sit 2 feet from it. I only hear the disk when I first start the console. Other then that I never hear it. Only time I do hear it after it powers off the fan stays running I guess until it cools down. And once in a while the game will freeze but I can usually go to dashboard and right back in to the game
How long have you had your Xbox one X? How long do you play it for? Might just need to be cleaned with a can air. Xbox consoles Ps3 PS4 etx. Xbox ones xbox 360. Are like vacuum cleaners they suck all the dirt in the air in to the console. Like a air filtration system lol
